KARACHI: A senior K-Electric officer on Friday refuted the claim of loadshedding of 12 hours a day in any part of its service area.
“While there is an evident surge in power demand as the mercury rises, K-Electric is undertaking all possible measures to provide maximum relief to its consumers,” KE’s chief distribution officer Amer Zia said while visiting different areas to review on-field operations of the power utility, according to a press release.
Mr Zia, who also heads KE’s ‘heatwave emergency cell’, said that currently, power supply to most KE service areas was stable.
The officer claimed that residential feeders having less than 20pc recovery losses were facing no loadshedding.
