QUETTA: As many as 6,052 candidates have withdrawn their nomination papers from the local government elections in 32 districts of Balochistan and now 17,774 candidates are contesting the elections.

The highest number of 1,522 candidates are contesting from Khuzdar district while the lowest number of 178 candidates are contesting from Jhal Magsi.

According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, 1,522 candidates are contesting the elections from Khuzdar district.

There are 1,453 candidates from Pishin, 1,175 from Ketch and 756 from Jaffarabad.

According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, Jhal Magsi has the lowest number of 178 candidates, while Awaran has 198 candidates and Harnai has 281 candidates.
