SAHIWAL, Dec 6: A factory owner was shot dead allegedly by three employees on the GT Road near Chak 135/9-L here on Monday night. Police claimed Mushtaq Masih, Shafiq Masih and Shafqat Masih worked in the factory of Maqbool and had borrowed Rs15,000 from the management. In order to avoid the return of the loan, they killed the owner.

One of the assailants, Shafqat, was also injured in firing by his accomplices and was taken to hospital where his condition was stated to be serious.

Three robbers snatched a motorcycle from Abdul Rahman and Younas on Okanwala Road near Chak 109/12-L.

Dacoits looted Rs16,000 in cash from Younas and shot at him on resistance. His condition was stated to be serious in hospital.

On Jamia Faridia Road, two armed men deprived a couple of Rs4,000 in cash and motorcycle.

DEMOLISHED: The Sahiwal tehsil municipal administration on Tuesday demolished 132 houses and structures built unlawfully on the state land.

The revenue department had issued notices to the occupants, but they did not comply with the orders.

Tehsil nazim Umar Ishaq told newsmen that encroachments on Jinnah Street had also been removed.
