Trained teachers to run SMCs

THATTA, Dec 6: About 2,529 teachers, working for school management committees (SMCs), will get training under a comprehensive programme. Sources told Dawn on Tuesday that the programme was being launched in Sujawal, Thatta and Mirpur Sakro talukas by the Iqra University and Sindh education department in collaboration with the district government.

The teachers of SMCs will get training in their respective talukas to run SMCs affairs efficiently.

The district coordinator for SMCs, Rustam Samejo, said his team comprises Shiraz Khatti, Adil Tahirani and Amir Shah.

Mr Samejo said all possible measures were being taken to streamline SMCs in the talukas.
