KARACHI: Youth stabbed to death

KARACHI, Jan 27: A young man was stabbed to death in his house by unknown assailants in Lines Area, in the limits of Brigade police station, on Sunday.

Police said that the victim, Shakoor, aged 19, hailed from Baltistan and his body was found by his neighbours.

The body was sent to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for postmortem. Later, it was handed over to the neighbour as the victim had no relatives living in the city, police added.

SUICIDE: A middle-aged man committed suicide in his house in Gulistan-i-Jauhar on Sunday.

Police said that Shahid Zubair, aged 45, locked himself in a room of his apartment in Rabia City, Gulistan-i-Jauhar, and hanged himself with a rope from the ceiling fan.

Police said that the victim, who was a plumber, ended his life after getting fed up with some domestic problems.

The body was sent to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for postmortem, police added.
