KARACHI, Dec 5: The Awami National Party has warned that the Kalabagh Dam may endanger the country’s integrity, and urged the government to scrape the project instead of seeking a consensus. Sindh chief of the ANP Shahi Syed, addressing the party’s provincial executive council on Sunday, pointed out that three of the four provincial assemblies had already unanimously rejected the project many a times.
Demanding an immediate decision against the Kalabagh dam project, he said that small dams be built to meet the water and power requirements.
