Streaming giant Netflix has released the first official trailer for Stranger Things season 4 and it's safe to say this season is going to be more than Demogorgons and the Upside Down.

Released on April 12, the new trailer shows Eleven (Millie Bobbi Brown) and the town of Hawkins facing a new demonic threat. Special agents are seen approaching Eleven in the video saying "Without you, we can’t win this war.” The entire three-minute-long trailer is set to Journey's 1983 classic song 'Separate Ways'.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, creators Matt and Ross Duffer are calling the fourth instalment their "Game of Thrones season" since the upcoming season has a bigger story to tell with a bigger cast set in locations other than Hawkins. Both part one and part two of the season have nine episodes, making it the longest season of all.

The trailer opens to a demon saying "you've broken everything. Your suffering is almost at an end," and a clock that symbolises the Upside Down world the kids of Hawkins are going to explore as well as others around different cities. Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) is also seen remembering her stepbrother Billy Hargrove who died in the previous season as he sacrificed himself to the Mind Flayer in order to save his sister and her friends.

The official description of season four reads, "It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time — and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”

The fourth instalment has been split into two parts — Volume 1 will debut May 27 and Volume 2 on July 1. Both release three years after the third season aired.

The new season stars the original cast including Brown, Sink, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, David Harbour, Joe Keery, Natalie Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Winona Ryder.

All hopes on Harrington, yet again, also among child star cast, Schnapp is the only one whom grown as most handsome, seems like quiet kid phenomena works fine on him.
