Bilawal and his slip of tongue are the rays of sunshine we need in these dark, dark times

Political turmoil and unrest in the country? Might as well make a meme out of it.
Updated 09 Mar, 2022

There's political unrest in the country right now as the opposition has submitted a no-trust motion against PM Imran Khan and he scrambles to gather support. But amidst all of this comes a ray of sunshine in the form of a slip of tongue made by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at a rally in Islamabad. Where his legs should have been shivering, his shivers were legging and no one can get over it. When in turmoil, make memes, we guess.

Bilawal was speaking at the rally in Islamabad on Tuesday night to mark the culmination of a 10-day Awami March. "I am shaking Islamabad. Islamabad may kaampein taang rahi hai [Shivers are legging in Islamabad]," he said. He meant to say taangein kaamp rahein hain, but his slip of tongue launched a thousand (or more) memes.

Most people couldn't get over the slip of tongue and some even thanked the PPP chief for bringing some laughter to the world.

There's a meme for every moment in this country.

In fact, they even called him the gift that keeps on giving.

Some found him relatable.

He's preventing breakdowns.

And ending boredom.

Movie dialogue?

Just a whole mood.

This is a common phenomenon afflicting Karachiites, it seems.

People seem to be making this into a thing.

A valid excuse, tbh.

10/10 relatability.

Ours too.

Whose kaampein wouldn't taang at this?

Some people have figured out Bilawal's "strategy".

Others argued that it wasn't really his fault. "It's in the air."

There's never a dull day in this country, that's for sure.

Incompetent ! If PPP honestly serve Karachi it will have a positive impact to entire Pakistan. Use your resources to improve lives in Sindh don't use these resources to bring destruction for the people.

Pakistani's are also worried, that a young person with no experience in public service has reached a point that he may vie for public office as a rest of legacy politics. If Bawal really wants to be a petition then he must spend time with his people's orkneys hard to improve the lives and then fight for public. Until then, he does not have my vote

Wow, if Imran Khan would have had a slip of tongue like that, PM or not everyone would have had daggers out. Just because it's Bilawal it's alright for him to do so? How Nobel? And on top it's a ray of freshness!!

Immaturity is apparent and easily observed in Mr. Bilawal speeches, he does not appear to be fully grown and developed to lead. He is required to work hard and go extra miles.

@Chrís Dăn Why should he? He represents the elite of Pakistan, those who live in Pakistan but think like foreigners. They think in English, converse in English among themselves but speak to their servants and the Awaam in Urdu. There is no need to change. They want power and that is all they want. It is not for the country. Pakistan is a fertile ground to amass wealth for their future generations.

Pakistani people should support Bilawal because of flowery language and promises alone. People are too dumb to look at any past achievement. Just look at the province of SIND. Total shambles,Crime, corruption, lack of enough water , electricity , crumbling infrastructure.

Must appreciate Bilawal for speaking much better Urdu than his mother tongue Sindhi. He can’t even speak Sindhi fluently. Coming to PPP and PML(N) both commercial LLC companies. They grab power to gather money wealth properties @ home & abroad through corruption, the people must think twice before casting vote to these two parties.

@fida because it's the national language of the country he wants to become the prime minister of? Because this language os understood all over the country? Because he can't even speak properly in that language? We all have mother languages none of them are our national language, no matter the history and heritage behind them. Don't get me wrong. I like sindhi language and it has a beautiful poetry writing in it as well but it's not the national language. Bilawal is an incompetent politician,if he can even be called that. Someone who can't even improve the overall situation in his own jurisdiction and province. Learning the language at least would do him a world of good.
