One of the robbery victims riding his motorcycle accompanied the police team, he said, adding that in the ensuing gun battle, one of the suspects suffered a bullet wound and fell down from his bike. He died on the spot, the police officer said. Three other suspects, however, managed to escape. The police claimed to have seized one pistol, one motorbike, two mobile phones and two wallets from the dead suspect.

The dead suspect’s identity could not be ascertained immediately.
