RAWALPINDI: The city traffic police have resumed issuing driving licences.

A spokesman for the traffic police said on Wednesday that Pakistan Post has come up with a temporary solution after delay in printing and non-delivery of New Year tickets across Punjab.

Under the temporary arrangement, the applicant will get the “Form 24” by submitting the required fee at the post office which will be acceptable for driving licence, learner and licence renewal.

The temporary arrangement will, however, be suspended as soon as the supply of driving licence tickets starts.

He said the issuance of driving licences was stopped early this month in Punjab due to non-availability of driving licence tickets.

The spokesman said that car and motorcycle tests will be conducted on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, while Light Transport Vehicle (LTV) tests will be conducted on Wednesday and Saturday.
