KARACHI: World Fisheries Day today

KARACHI, Nov 20: The World Fisheries Day is being observed by fishermen communities all over the world on Oct 21 to highlight their problems by holding rallies and meetings in their respective countries.

In this regard, the Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum has decided to hold a rally and a cultural show at Karachi Press Club on Nov 21 at 2pm to focus on contract system in fisheries and conservation of livelihood resources of fishermen community in the province.

A large number of fishermen belonging to various parts of the coastal belt of the Sindh province will participate in the event which is an annual feature of the forum.
