AS harsh as it may sound, the fact is that many in Pakistan have become intolerant and ignorant. They lack basic ethics, manners and etiquettes. This misbehaviour is more common in youngsters who are supposed to be more polite, tolerant and energetic.
I sometimes wonder who is responsible for this disaster. The parents who fail to inculcate the qualities of tolerance and respect among their children? Or the schools that only focus on the academics and forget to impart and enforce basic values?
Whatever is the case, no society can flourish under such circumstances. Therefore, we all must work together to root out this menace from society. It is possible only if we realise our own responsibility to behave and act in a more gentle, delicate and civilised way, and to educate the others to behave in the same manner. Only then it will pave the way to a prosperous and tolerant society.
