Who is Muhammad Asif's favourite cricketer? What is his favourite PSL team? What are his future plans? Well, you asked and he answered. The former cricketer took the time to answer a bunch of questions from fans on Twitter on Friday. With the variety panning out to all areas of cricket, we learned a lot about Asif and his preferences.

Ranking No. 2 in the balls of the century list released by The Cricket Monthly, Asif is a cricketer who played for the Pakistani national cricket team between 2005 and 2010. He is well known for his deadly swing bowling.

Following the Q&A on his YouTube channel, the swing bowler took to Twitter to host a bigger one and answered more questions. His Twitter followers did not hold back, questions rolled in right away and thanks to them, we know Asif a little better now.

Here's what we found out.

Asif really loves Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam.

No, really. If asked to choose, he would always choose Azam.

We're telling you, the love is real.

It doesn't stop there though. Asif has clearly been keeping up with the current team as a whole.

Looks like we're not the only ones obsessed with Hassan Ali and Shaheen Afridi.

This fan asked for cricket advice and this sounds like a well weighed answer. Balance is key!

We love it when people have confidence in themselves and their abilities.

Asif clearly doesn't discriminate when it comes to cricket.

Who doesn't love Zalmi?

While almost all questions were about cricket, this user tried to wedge politics into the mix.

Another Twitter follower was curious about the bowler's nickname.

A good question!

Asif doesn't only appreciate the current team players, he also loves players who have worn the Pakistan jersey in the past.

When asked about future plans, he said his goal was coaching at the U-19 level.

It's always fun to learn more about the people we watch on screen and apparently Pakistani Twitter agrees because questions are still flowing in even after Asif wrote a thank you note to end the session.

Which cricket player would you like to see do a Q&A next?

Asif and others messed up, but I strongly believe that it was PCB that screwed up big time. It was not the responsibility of ICC to reprimand them. If PCB had done something about their activities much before, they could have just been penalised financially and warned. PCB and their Chairman at the time are responsible for losing a player of his caliber. Sad!

Cricketing talent wise he was up there with the best Pakistan has produced. Unfortunately even reading his name brings a moment of sad feeling. Wish it was different.

I have watched international cricket for 45 years and have never seen a bigger magician bowler than Asif. I just wish that he had high morals too.

Asif himself was one of the most lethal swing bowlers. Sadly poor choices and lack of proper education got the best of him.

This man could have been one of the greatest bowlers for Pakistan but sadly gave in to his greed and thus threw away the immense potential he had as a cricketer for the benefit of the country.

@M. Saeed it wasn't Asifs fault. It was a fault of the pcb.

@Shahid Mahmood he is a product of the society that we all have created. To expect every person to be an upright human being is not fair. At best he made a serious mistake for which he paid for by wasting an opportunity very few get in life. That is worst punishment then any time spent in jail.
