KOHAT: Stressing strong community policing, SP operations Ziaullah on Sunday advised the public to submit their complaints based on truth for early resolution of their grievances.

He was addressing an open kutcheri held here in Sher Kot village council and attended by former councillors, area elders and a large number ofcomplainants.

He said that proper liaison between the police and public was important for keeping law and order and curbing crimes and activities of anti-social elements.

He said that IGP Mozzam JahAnsari had directed themto make all-out effortsfor providing justice to the people on their doorstep.

PILLION RIDING BANNED: Deputy commissioner, Kohat, Roshan Mehsud has banned pillion riding under section 144 from Oct 18 to Oct 20 for maintaining foolproof security during Rabiul Awwal here.

A statement issued here on Sunday said that the deputy commissioner had imposed the restriction in public interest for keeping law and order.

It said the violators of the order would be penalised under section 188 PPC.
