Patwari suspended

KOHAT: A patwari has been suspended over public complaints.

According to a notification, Zulfiqar Shah has been accused of harassing a woman owner of a marriage hall in Garhi Mawaz Khan, and also causing delay in provision of gas connections in Khushalgarh and Muhammadzai areas by refusing to show land record to the authorities concerned.

Two complainants had approached the deputy commissioner against the patwari for causing delay in identifying property for establishment of smarter meter service (SMS) of the gas company. They also accused the revenue department official of misbehaving with the gas company staff.

The newly-elected cabinet members called on the business community to pay taxes and contribute to development of the district.
