SHANGLA: At least 20 people, including 12 schoolchildren, were injured when stray dogs attacked them in Lilonai village of Alpuri tehsil here on Saturday.
Rescue 1122 spokesperson Mohammad Rasool Khan told mediapersons that stray dogs roaming in Lilonai area injured the schoolchildren and then attacked men on the main road.
He said that after receiving a call from the local people the Rescue 1122 team reached the spot and provided first aid to the injured children and others and then shifted them to the district headquarters hospital, Alpuri.
He said the children aged between 7-17 years were mostly bit by the stray dogs on legs.
After the incident, the district administration urged the people of Alpuri to take care and inform the tehsil municipal administration about the presence of stray dogs so that it could eliminate them.
