ISLAMABAD, Nov 7: The Muzaffarabad passport office has been temporarily shifted to Islamabad as its building had collapsed in the Oct 8 earthquake, an interior ministry official said here on Monday.
Costly equipment in the office was also damaged, the official said.
He said that applicants from Poonch, Rawlakot and surrounding areas who had applied for passport should contact the office in Islamabad.
He said the applicants would have to show their national identity cards for getting their passports.
The National Database and Registration Authority was compiling data of earthquake victims and those who had lost their NICs must contact the nearest Nadra office to get duplicate cards, he added.
