Zara Shahjahan's eponymous design house has taken a big step towards international expansion. She recently announced the launch of an official Instagram account meant solely for online shopping in Bangladesh.

The designer posted a video on her personal Instagram account to share the news. "As you know the Zara Shahjahan international family is growing year by year. We are very excited to launch the Zara Shahjahan Bangladesh Instagram account. To order unstitched and bridals for our Bangladeshi fans, you can go directly to our Instagram account and order from there."

On the Instagram account for Bangladesh, the brand introduces itself as a "glorified celebration of vintage Pakistani fashion" with a "timeless approach to fashion". The design house is popularly known for its feminine and floral aesthetic in Pakistan.

Shahjahan is also known for designing Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari's bespoke mehndi outfit for her wedding to Mahmood Choudhry in February.

Who cares about Bangladesh. People make it big branding into Europe or America. Not really sure why this is even a big deal.

Bangladesh is into modern western twist ethnic fashion, the conservative ethnic curtains from 80s wont work there. Dont see this making it big there. Should instead focus and target markets like Afghanistan where there is scope for sale.
