KARACHI: Half-a-dozen horses will battle it out for honours in the Leader’s Cup when it takes place in the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

The Leader’s Cup which tops the action in a five-race card is also the day’s feature event and classified under combined scale order I and II.

It is the last race of the day’s racing order and will go over six furlongs.

A similar number of six horses will face the starter in the fourth race which is the supporting event under combined scale order III and IV. It will go over four-and-a-half furlongs.

A small field of five horses will make their appearance in the opening race of lower scale order VIII that will be run over four furlongs.

A good number of 10 and 12 horses are drawn in the second and third race respectively that will take place over four-and-a-half furlongs.

The first race starts at 2.30pm.
