Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis don't believe in bathing themselves or their kids too often

"I wasn't that parent that bathed my newborns, ever," Kunis revealed in recent a podcast interview.

In a surprisingly unhygienic turn of events, Hollywood stars Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have revealed that they don't bathe their children too much, unless of course, dirt is visible and the activity becomes absolutely essential.

In a conversation with Dax Shepard on his podcast Armchair Expert, the couple agreed that they only wash the vitals every day.

"I didn't have hot water growing up as a child so I didn't shower very much anyway," Kunis said, revealing that she's continued the practice with her own children, six-year-old Wyatt and four-year-old Dimitri. "I wasn't that parent that bathed my newborns, ever," the Friends With Benefits star said.

"If you can see the dirt on them, clean them," Kutcher put in. "Otherwise, there's no point," he said, adding that he too only ever washed his crotch and armpits daily "and nothing else ever."

While Kunis agreed to washing her face twice a day, Kutcher said he didn't bother doing that either, saying the only thing he does is "throw some water on his face after a workout to get all the salts out".

The revelation prompted confused and concerned responses from fans on social media, who took the opportunity to troll the movie stars for their bathing habits.

Their fans can't get over the news and to be honest, we can't either. Hopefully this was an elaborate prank.

This is disgusting in a way. But then again in the West they use toilet paper. No washing. He has a point though, as cientifically you don't have to take a shower daily. It's fine to wash your face, hands, private area with water and mild soap. But like warm water is enough for private areas. No soap due to PH value etc.

If what they are telling is right there's nothing wrong with it, in fact it is healthy. They stated if visible dirt is not there then no bath for the baby. Frankly they don't live in Pakistan where everyone is a dirt magnet due to dust in the atmosphere. Moreover, the most up to date information recommended by dermatologists for people above 30 for their face is to splash water in the morning and that's it. The chemicals in the soaps are NOT healthy and for Muslims wudoo does the wonders, unless visible dirt is evident. Washing excessively not only leads to eczema-like situation but also washes away the normal flora which studies have shown is extremely important in maintaining health and surprisingly contributes to mental health as well. Extremely good hygiene is linked to Alzheimer's disease in the West and might boil down to the aforementioned reason. Do check Alzheimer's portals and you will know. Obviously in Pakistan the will frequently need baths!

Actually I don't bathe often either, 1)why would I wash down natural antibiotic and skin nourishing oils down the drain? 2) conserve water - if one million people skip one bath, that's millions of gallons of water saved, I do my part very frequently... 3)protect the environment - why would I send unnecessary chemicals down stream and promote industrial processing of petrochemicals? Both sides of the equation prevent pollution. If one million people skip one bath that's a lot of hydrocarbon saved... I would like you urge you to do your part - skip a bath!

This is what happens without guidance on how one should live in this world. This 'controversial practice' is an embodiment of the purposeless existence.
