Dalgona coffee

The combination of cold milk and the frothy bittersweet coffee on top is a match made in heaven. With just some coffee, sugar, milk, water, and loads of elbow grease and patience, you can whip up this luscious Dalgona coffee in just a few minutes.

Recipe: (Serves one person)

Ingredients:

Coffee grounds: 1 tablespoon

Sugar: 2 tablespoons

Warm water: 2 tablespoons

Milk (chilled): 1 cup

Ice cubes: as required

Method:

In a small bowl, add the warm water and coffee grounds. Using a hand whisk or an electric mixer, beat the coffee and water for four to five minutes or until light and fluffy.

Once nicely whipped, add in the sugar and mix well. Set aside.

Grab a tall glass and fill it halfway with chilled milk.

Add in a few ice cubes, and then top the milk with the luscious coffee mixture you prepared earlier.

Put a straw, give the glass a quick stir and enjoy your very own homemade Dalgona coffee.

Iced mocha latte

The wholesome bittersweet blend of chocolate and coffee in an iced mocha latte is even more sweetly satisfying during the summer. When topped with sweet whipped cream, the luscious mocha is a dream come true for a coffee enthusiast.

Recipe: (Serves one person)

Ingredients:

Coffee grounds: 1 tablespoon

Sugar: 2 tablespoons

Unsweetened cocoa powder: 1 tablespoon

Heavy cream: 2 tablespoon

Milk: 1 cup

Ice cubes: as required

Optional:

Whipped cream ¼ cup

Chocolate syrup as required

Method:

In a saucepan, add the milk, coffee granules, sugar, and cocoa powder.

Place the saucepan on the stove on medium heat and stir constantly.

Once the coffee and cocoa powder have mixed thoroughly, bring the mixture to a boil.

Remove it from heat and stir in the heavy cream.

Set aside for five minutes to cool it down to room temperature first, and then place the mixture in the freezer for 15 minutes.

Grab a glass and fill it halfway with ice cubes. Pour the prepared chocolate mixture and top your iced mocha with some whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Enjoy!
