LAHORE: As many as 369 people tested positive for the coronavirus, while six more deaths were reported in Punjab during the last 24 hours, as per the data released on Sunday.
The number of positive cases reached 350,259 in Punjab, while the death toll climbed to 10,871 in the province, where as many as 5947,770 coronavirus tests have been conducted so far.
As per the data, 172 people tested positive in Lahore, 96 in Rawalpindi, 12 in Faisalabad, 13 in Multan, six in DG Khan, four each in Bahawalnagar, Chiniot, Sialkot and Vehari, three each in Gujranwala, Layyah, Pakpattan and Rajanpur, two each in Kasur, Khanewal, Sargodha, Narowal, Sheikhopura and Toba Tek Singh, while one each case was reported in Gujrat, Muzaffargarh, Bahawalpur, Jhang, Jehlum, Khushab, Okara, Bhakkar, Lodhran, Attock, Nankana and Mianwali.
PHSD Secretary Ms Sarah Aslam asked the public to adhere to the Covid SOPs and get vaccinated. She said Delta variant could be one of the dominant strains of Covid-19 in Pakistan and other countries.
