TURBAT: A security man from the Frontier Corps was martyred and two others were injured in firing by unidentified attackers in the Mand area of Kech district on Saturday.

The FC officials, while confirming the incident, said the security personnel were deployed in the border area to protect the fence erected by Pakistan along the Iranian border in the Mand area of Makran division when the attackers opened fire from nearby mountains.

“One soldier was martyred and two others were injured in the firing,” the sources said, adding that the FC troops reached the attack site and shifted the body and the injured to a nearby health facility.

Later, they launched a search operation for the attackers.
