ISLAMABAD: A driver of a legislator was found hanged in a servant quarters of Parliament Lodges on Saturday, police said.

Police have lodged a report under section 174 (police to inquire on suicide) of Criminal Procedure Code at the Secretariat police station and started an investigation to establish if it was a suicide or homicide.

The deceased was identified as Santosh Kumar, who worked as driver with PTI MNA Lal Chand, the police said.

A cook of the lawmaker found the driver hanging from the ceiling fan in the servant quarter located in the basement of the building. The police also found some videos from the room and in one of the clips the deceased was found talking about some issues.

The body was shifted to hospital for further legal action, including autopsy, to establish the actual cause of death.
