LARKANA, Oct 24: Bodies of the Sindh National Front of the districts of Larkana and Qambar-Shahdadkot have called upon the government to ensure teaching of the Sindhi language in accordance with the language bill of 1972.

Abdul Latif Bughio, the deputy secretary general of the SNF, presided over the meeting held here on Monday.

The meeting criticized the government for not allowing the teaching of Sindhi in intermediate classes.

The SNF termed it a calculated move against Sindh’s right to rule.

The SNF criticized the Sindh government for what it called playing in the hands of ‘anti-Sindh’ groups.

ENGINEERING: The Larkana Chamber of Commerce and Industry demanded from the government to establish an engineering college in Larkana.

The meeting of the chamber was held on Monday.

Mohammed Azam Shaikh presided over the meeting.

He said that no engineering college existed on the right bank of Indus river from Jamshoro to Quetta and the students of these areas had to go all the way to Nawabshah to study engineering.

Members of various sub-committees of the chamber attended the meeting.
