QUETTA, Oct 24: Two women of a village in Nasirabad have accused a police officer of criminally assaulting them and complained that their complaint was not being registered.
Shali and Nagina of Goth Abdul Hamid said at a press conference in Jaffarabad on Sunday that the SHO of Mirhasan police station and two other armed people had entered their homes early on Saturday morning and assaulted them.
They said officials of the police station concerned had rejected their request to register the case and threatened action against them.
They appealed to the Balochistan governor, chief minister and police chief to direct the officials concerned to register a case of gang rape against the accused.
The SHO, talking to local newsmen, denied the allegations.
Jaffarabad DSP Mohammad Yaqoob told Dawn that the women had not approached the police station concerned to lodge the FIR. However, he said, he would look into the matter.
