During this year's holy month of Ramazan, SnackVideo joined hands with the Edhi Foundation for celebration and charity, bringing forward a fulfilling Eid experience for the people of Pakistan and raising Rs20,000,000 in donations to help those in need.
The funds raised by SnackVideo have been invested in two core areas by the Edhi Foundation. They include construction and completion of school buildings, and hospital upgradation for primary health services.
The #EidwithEdhi campaign has received more than five million pageviews and over 2m participated videos, while a total of 233,551 users have been awarded with donation certificates by the Edhi Foundation. Each day during the holy month, nearly 20k users actively participated in the campaign and uploaded their original videos using the hashtag, which accounted for over eight per cent users of the entire platform.
While the Covid-19 pandemic forces many people to spend Ramazan and Eid at home and leaves others struggling due to poverty and disease, social media platforms like SnackVideo can be really helpful in conveying love from a distance and supporting people nationwide with unified power.
The collaboration between SnackVideo and Edhi Foundation this year showcased the significant impact of digital media, while it has also been picked up by a number of mainstream media outlets.
