KARACHI: The Gadap police on Sunday sealed a farmhouse and took into custody 19 persons for holding a dance party there.

Malir SSP Irfan Bahadur said that the police raided the farmhouse and arrested seven women and 12 men, including the organiser of the dance party.

The police claimed to have seized sheesha and other contrabands from their custody.

“The held persons violated the Covid-19 standard operating procedure imposed by the government to control the spread of the virus,” he said, adding that the farmhouse was sealed and an FIR (219/2021) was lodged against the held persons.
