LAHORE: On the desire of the clubs organisers, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has extended the date of submitting the documents for the registration of the clubs, across the country to June 21 from May 20.

According to a PCB statement issued on Tuesday, the decision is taken in the backdrop of the lock-down and Eid-ul-Fitr holidays which sprang from May 8 to 16. It may be mentioned that the PCB ignoring these long periods of public holidays had asked the club organisers to submit the document by May 20, while starting it from May 8. But the club organisers expressed their inability to meet the deadline because of these holidays. However, the PCB quickly announced an extended deadline and now the new date is June 21.

It is learnt now the clubs will submit their hard copies to their respective provincial cricket associations but the PCB appointed scrutiny committee will do scrutiny of the clubs before giving them the registration.
