SHANGLA: The residents of Kuz Kana union council here have demanded of the district administration to eliminate stray dogs as dog bite cases are on the rise in the area.

They told mediapersons here on Tuesday that stray dogs could be seen roaming the streets of Kuz Kana and the people were living in a constant fear.

Javid Iqbal, a resident, said that cases of stray dogs attacking elders and children at night had been reported. He said that they wanted the tehsil municipal administration to kill the street dogs and save the people from them. He claimed that hospitals in the district lacked anti-rabies vaccine for dog bite treatment.

One Mian Sohrab said that street dogs also scared children going to madressahs. He said they had informed the administration, but despite assurance the TMA team was yet to visit the area to kill them.

They demanded of the TMA to immediately send its team to kill the stray dogs.
