LAHORE: The Pakistan Railways on Friday launched its 35 (Up/Down) special Eid trains operation in the country.

“The 35 trains include 24 (Up/Down) that have started operating between Faisalabad-Lahore and Lahore-Faisalabad sections via Sangla Hill, Safdarabad and Sheikhupura and Multan-Faisalabad and Faisalabad-Multan sections via Khanewal, Shorkot, Toba Tek Singh and Gojra” Minister for Railways Azam Swati told Dawn through a text message.

According to a press release, 11 Eid special trains have started operation between Karachi-Lahore and Karachi-Rawalpindi sections.

On the other hand, the rail authorities have directed the drivers to observe/follow cautions and must not exceed the speed limit (105km per hour).

Meanwhile, the PR Lahore division on Friday announced the schedule for the auction of 30 parking lots at various railway stations.
