KARACHI: Two girls drowned in a water pond along Superhighway on Friday, rescue sources said.
According to them, they bodies of the girls, aged 14-16, were fished out from the pond at Bismillah Centre along Superhighway by people of the locality. They transported the bodies to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities and later handed them over to the heirs.
Police said they had started a probe into the incident. No case was lodged by the victims’ family members till late in the evening, they added.
