CHARSADDA: At least six people were killed in Charsadda and seven others in Haripur, Dera Ismail Khan and Swabi districts in various incidents during last 24 hours.

In Charsadda, a youngster Sartaj was killed and Naveed and Wajid suffered injuries in exchange of fire between two groups over land dispute at Saddar Garhi. Sources said both sides had lodged FIRs at Khwaja Was police station against each other.

In the second incident, unknown assailants gunned down Naseem, 20, of Dalazak Road, Peshawar, presently residing at Yousaf Khan Kalley.

According to reports, Naseem went out of his house after Iftar on Monday and didn’t return home at night. However, his body was recovered from the nearby fields.

Man shot dead near Swabi Judicial Complex

Meanwhile, a man and his son died when their bike collided with a car near Kamran Flour Mills on Charsadda-Nowshera road. Mir Alam died on the spot while his son Waheed Alam was referred to LRH, Peshawar, but he did not survive.

In another accident, a coaster hit a motorcycle at Kal Dher Chowk. As a result, Azeemullah and Umar Farooq died on the spot while their cousin suffered critical injuries. The bodies were sent to their native Kohistan district.

In Haripur, three persons, including an elderly woman, were killed over a property dispute between cousins in Chapriyan Amgah village the other day.

Kotnajibullah police quoted Abbas Ali as saying there was a property dispute with their uncle Mirza Khan. On Monday, his first cousin Faizan Khan tried to stop Safdar Khan, brother of the complainant, from passing through disputed land. Later, Faizan allegedly barged into their home and opened fire at his brother Safdar Khan, daughter Husna Bibi, wife Saeeda Bibi, and his mother Sabaz Jan Bibi injuring them critically.

The injured were taken to the trauma centre where doctors pronounced Saeeda Bibi dead while Safdar and his mother succumbed to bullet wounds in the night, hospital sources said.

In Dera Ismail Khan, three people were killed on Tuesday.

A police official said a man shot dead his wife in Garhi Shahzada area. The accused fled the scene with his five children.

In another incident, Mohammad Asim,45, was killed when two motorcycles collided near New Bannu Chungi, police said.

In another incident, Ramzan Baloch, 17, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Laar area of Paharpur police station.

In Swabi, a man was killed in front of Swabi Judicial Complex over old enmity and a passer-by injured here on Tuesday.

An eyewitness said that Asham Ali of Parmuli village was on way to the judicial complex when suddenly a man rushed towards him and shot him in the head. The injured Shahzad Umar was referred to LRH, Peshawar.

The alleged attacker, Zahir Ali, has been arrested and pistol recovered from him.
