Slight fall in sugar price

Published October 21, 2005

LAHORE, Oct 20: Sugar price marginally came down by Rs10 per 100kg bag in open market on Thursday. The market watchers maintain that it is a routine fluctuation rather than a result of any official effort to bring the price down. They say millers have not either released extra stock to ease the market. It is rather a natural adjustment because Wednesday’s rise of Rs80 per bag was so unnatural that the sugar price has to come down a bit. On Thursday, it just did that.— Staff Reporter
