RAWALPINDI: The Punjab government has closed Outpatients Departments (OPDs) of ENT, ophthalmology, dermatology and dentistry for a week due to increasing number of Covid-19 cases in the city.

According to Punjab Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department, all government hospitals situated in seven districts of Punjab for further one week till April 27.

These seven districts are Rawalpindi, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan.

However, OPDs of all the other specialties shall remain open.

The OPD services and elective surgeries in hospitals situated in other districts of Punjab shall also continue as usual.

Doctors, nurses, paramedics and other healthcare workers of the four specialties shall be engaged for management of Covid-19 patients.
