THIS refers to the report ‘Country’s first liver auto-transplantation procedure performed at DUHS’ (April 11). This is a meritorious milestone for Pakistan. In the United Kingdom, it costs about £15,000, which can only be afforded by the elite in Pakistan. In order to hone the skills of Pakistani surgeons, the government should discourage people from getting such treatments abroad. It will increase the number of competent surgeons while saving foreign exchange for the country.
