RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Director General Abdul Sattar Issani on Saturday suspended two officials over their poor performance.

According to a spokesman, the RDA chief visited various ongoing projects for inspection, including dualisation of Dr Qadeer Khan Road from Islamabad Highway to Falcon Complex, construction/widening and improvement of Dry Port Road from Rahimabad Flyover to Welfare Complex via Chaklala railway station and construction of three pedestrian bridges on Airport Road.

Mr Issani found unsatisfactory work in the three main projects and suspended SDO Mohammad Akram Nadeem and sub-engineer Mohammad Tariq.

He directed to speed up the work and said he would inspect the projects again within 10 days. RDA Chief Engineer Amir Rasheed was also present.
