THE usage of bright, almost blinding, car headlights is becoming a serious issue on the roads. This careless attitude on the part of the drivers of cars, buses, rickshaws, and even by motorcycle riders, is playing havoc on the eyesight of other drivers and pedestrians. As a result, many have lost their sight completely and many have run into accidents.

The government should look into the matter and impose fines on individuals who use the high beam lights. People who use high beam often cite night blindness as a reason or the non-functionality of streetlights.

Such reasons might be genuine in some cases, but most people just fabricate lies to keep using the high beam headlights. The government should ban the purchase and sale of LED and xenon headlights in the market. We can overcome this serious issue if all of us played our part responsibly.
