Actor and producer Adnan Siddiqui took to Instagram on Friday to engage his fans with a Q&A session. Questions (probably) poured in from fans all over Pakistan and beyond, and he answered them, much to his fans' excitement.

Fans wanted to know how old the A Mighty Heart actor was, a question he slyly tried to curve, replying, "What do you think?" with an accompanying picture from his younger days.

The internet, however, reports that he is 51 years of age.

A fan appreciated Siddiqui for his role and performance in his 2014 drama Mere Humdum Mere Dost, inquiring if he is as sensitive in real life as his character is in the drama.

The actor, predictably, felt ambiguity was the way to go. "Maybe...maybe not!" he answered.

When asked about his next drama, Siddiqui answered that he prefers quality over quantity.

Fans wanted to know his thoughts on Pakistan's pop sensation Atif Aslam. "Pride of Pakistan!" he said, and we agree.

When asked to say a word for his co-star from his Bollywood debut, Mom, Sajjal Ali, he called her talented.

His co-star from TV hit Meray Paas Tum Ho, Ayeza 'Api' Khan, he says, in one word, is professional.

The actor received appreciation and love from fans around the world, to which he expressed his delight. We just wish fans had asked better questions of him. If we had the chance to Adnan Siddiqui anything, we probably wouldn't ask how old he is.

Unfortunately, age stigma has become a norm in South Asian countries.

It's private matter, end of story, public should respect that.

If you check with his school time friends, his actual age is around 54 or 55. He needs to wake up and stop lying about his real age..

Only insecure people hide their age. Everyone is getting old on a daily basis and one should be proud to say how old they.

He is definitely 50+. Maybe he doesn't wany to tell his age so he can continue to be cast as the young/bachelor male lead opposite pretty young actresses less than half his age in dramas. Irrespective of age, the industry will still cast time just like Humayun Saeed, Faisal Qureshi, Aijaz Aslam, Noman Ejaz are still cast a young male leads. The ageism only applies to female actors above 30.

There are indeed some men who find it too personal to disclose their age for a variety of reasons, and that should be respected. At any rate, does age really matter? For someone such as Adnan Siddiqui, who is in the public eye, though, people's curiosity must come as no surprise. Best thing to do, then, is to keep them guessing!

@Desi I partially agree. I think its become part of our culture especially for women to hide their age because ageism is strong. But I can also think of other reasons females hide their age. If a female is maturing or close to or above 30 and unmarried, she may lie to attract somebody closer to her age, who she finds suitable. Again this leads us back to the ageism. If people werent ageist then others wouldn't feel the need to lie. The world in general is very judgemental and social stigma is real. I am a little surprised to learn men do it too.
