More goods dispatched for victims

SHEIKHUPURA, Oct 16: The district police teams took six trucks of eatables, clothes, tents, blankets and other necessary goods to the quake-hit areas on Sunday.

Besides articles of daily use, the government employees have donated their salaries to the President’s Relief Fund for the victims, according to District Police Officer Syed Ibne Husain.

RESIGNATION: Sheikhupura district nazim-elect Sahibzada Mian Jalil Ahmad Sharaqpuri has sent his resignation from the National Assembly seat to the speaker.

The district and tehsil nazims, and other representatives are taking oath at 1pm on Monday (today) in the district complex.
