KARACHI, Jan 22: Three ships carrying containers, iron scrap and crude oil are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.
Meanwhile, berth occupancy at the dry wharves dropped below the 50 per cent level to 46 per cent owing to slow arrivals of the foreign flag vessels, while it was maintained on the higher side at 67 per cent at the Bulk Oil Piers.
Three ships, Bing He, Simge and Sun Trader to unload and load containers molasses and to offload lub oil respectively were berthed after the sailing of as many.
The ships, which departed included Bunga Massatv, Bing He and Fuji Hoshi, while X-Press Dhaulagiri, Themera, Kota Saba, Sun trader and Al-Velos are due to sail out on Wednesday.
A total tonnage of 50,706 tons comprising 26,018 tons of export cargo including 4,196 tons of rice and 11,000 tons of molasses and 24,688 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Wednesday: Leixoes, with containers, Kyria Kos, with iron scrap and Athenian Valour, with crude oil.
KARACHI, Jan 22: Al Safa carrying furnace oil was accommodated berth at Fotco Terminal during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, two more ships, Orchid to offload furnace oil and Super Sonic with iron ore also arrived at the outer anchorage and were expected to take berths at Qasim Internatioal Container Terminal and IOCB on Tuesday.
Some 30,654 tons cargo, exclusively imports, was handled. The cargo was consisted of 9,223 tons edible oil and 21,431 tons furnace oil.
