ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Friday forecast dry weather in most parts of the country during day time for the next 24 hours.

However rain and wind-thunderstorm (with snowfall over high mountains) is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northwestern Balochistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan during evening/night, the office reported.

A westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country.

There was rain and a thunderstorm in KP, AJK, Punjab, northwest Balochistan and GB. Snowfall was also recorded in Kalam during this period.
