GUJRAT: Two siblings were killed when their mother jumped into a deep well along with her three children at Pakhwal village in Jhelum district early on Saturday morning.

However, the mother and one of her sons survived as the Rescue 1122 team rescued them from the well and shifted them to the Sohawa THQ hospital.

Jhelum Deputy Commissioner Rao Pervez Akhtar told Dawn over telephone that Rozeena Yasmeen who was mentally ill, along with her three children Zeeshan Shakeel 7, Ammar Shakeel, 5, and a daughter Nida Shakeel, 4, had jumped into a well.

He said the locals and Rescue 1122 had saved the woman and her elder son Zeeshan and dead bodies of two others were also taken out of the well.
