QUETTA: With Gwadar being connected to the new Silk Road, the region has become a gateway for exploration of new markets and opportunities in the province, the Balochistan Board of Investment & Trade (BBoIT) CEO Farman Zarkoon said on Thursday.

In a meeting with a delegation of businessmen, Mr Zarkoon gave a briefing on the BBoIT, adding that the board, under the leadership of Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani, has achieved many goals and facilitated investment in the province.

The BBoIT CEO apprised investors about the incentives given by the federal and provincial governments. The board has taken all possible steps to promote business and industrial activities in the province, he said.

The CEO further urged the business community and investors to take advantage of the opportunities available in the province.

Huge investments in minerals, fisheries, trade and transportation, tourism, industry, livestock, agriculture, energy and other potential sectors could be made in Balochistan, Mr Zarkoon said, adding that there were vast opportunities in the province that remain untapped.
