Pakistan, India in Pool ‘B’

MELBOURNE, Oct 12: Pakistan, India and Malaysia, were on Wednesday drawn in Pool ‘B’ of 2006 Commonwealth Games men’s hockey competition from March 15 to 26.

Other nations in same pool are South Africa and Trinidad & Tobago. Pool ‘A’ countries comprise, Australia, New Zealand, England, Canada and Scotland.

In women’s hockey, Malaysia, has been grouped in Pool ‘A’ with Australia, South Africa, India and Nigeria. Countries in Pool ‘B’ are New Zealand, England, Scotland, Canada and Barbados.

The elimination rounds of both men’s and women’s competition will be played on March 23-26.

All matches will be played at State Hockey Centre near Melbourne Zoo.—PPI
