In pictures: 'World's most beautiful' Gwadar Cricket Stadium holds first star-studded match

Gwadar Cricket Stadium, being dubbed as the "world's most beautiful cricket stadium" by the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (HRD), held an exhibition match on Friday.
The match was held between Gwadar Dolphins, captained by PM's aide Zulfiqar Bukhari, and Showbiz Sharks, which is being led by Pakistan Cricket Board's Chief Executive Wasim Khan. The Gwadar Dolphins won the toss and chose to bowl. British High Commissioner Christian Turner officiated the toss.
Stars including Fakhr-i-Alam, Ali Zafar and Aijaaz Aslam also participated in the match.
The match was dedicated to mountaineer Mohammad Ali Sadpara, who was recently declared dead more than a week after he went missing on K2 during an expedition. The players also said a prayer for the celebrated mountaineer before the match.
Throughout the match, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and HRD' Twitter account posted pictures of the scenic stadium with the hashtag #CricketAtGwadar.
The stadium also earned high praise from the International Cricket Council a few weeks back when the body shared photos of the sports venue.
"Show us a more picturesque sports venue than the Gwadar cricket stadium in Balochistan. We'll wait..." the tweet said.

"Apane mia mitthu" One has to just type " most beautiful cricket stadium in world" on Google to see top seven most beautiful cricket stadium in world. Gwadar is nit part of that list.

The beauty of the stadium is due to its hilly background. when expanding and constructing a full stadium here, please do not cover the hilly side or build a wall there. Build it like a 1/s moon glass stadium with an open hilly side. Thank you

Great location and nice green. BUT it feels like it can sit only in hundreds (may be thousand spectators), Not much parking. Was any thoughts given for future - one side is the hill another a road and construction growing in the direction. Does not look like a suitable ground for future international matches. Hope the "responsible authorities" had future of the stadium in mind (with potential growth of Gwadar). Pakistan need international quality grounds. This definitely a great location.

@Shaun, I think this is an average looking stadium objectively speaking and it looks more a cricket ground than a cricket stadium . What about this qualifies it above MCG,Lords,Eden Gardens,SCG, Adelaide Oval ,Centurion Park , Motera stadium and another dozen stadiums . The good news is Gwadar has a brand new ground and will be a great additional cricketing destination. Going to superlatives like best stadium ever is more an insecure mindset.
