LAHORE: The Election Commission of Pakistan has ordered the returning officers to remove all banners and panaflexes which are larger than permissible size in two constituencies of the province where a by-poll is being held next month.

An ECP meeting which was presided over by its head Sikandar Sultan held here on Monday to review the election arrangements in NA-75 (Daska) and PP-51 (Gujranwala).

The meeting was told that on the complaint of a candidate action had been taken against XEN Abdul Waheed and SDO Muhammad for committing violation of the election code of conduct.

A local government department’s official Muhammad Fayyaz had also been issued a notice on the complaint of a candidate, the meeting was told.
