ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue on Wednesday notified rules allowing taxpayers to file appeals electronically.

The rules were notified through a SRO1262 of 2020 and aim to facilitate taxpayers.

Under the new rules, taxpayers can file appeal on the FBR web portal from Jan 1, 2021 to Commissioner of Inland Revenue (Appeal).

The applicant will attach documents electronically along with the appeal.

The appeal will also be responded electronically via Iris. Notices to both parties will also be issued electronically.
