QUETTA: Governor retired Justice Amanullah Khan Yasinzai has said that cadet colleges in Balochistan are playing a vital role in promoting and spreading education in the province.

Presiding over a meeting of the board of governors of Balochistan cadet colleges here on Tuesday, the governor said that it was a matter of great satisfaction that these colleges not only provided the best educational environment to students but also paid attention to character-building of the students to make them morally strong.

The meeting discussed issues being faced by the cadet colleges and took some important decisions on suggestions given by principals and other officials of the colleges.

The governor underlined the need for highlighting the performance of cadet colleges among the masses.

The governor stressed the need for ensuring merit and transparency in appointment of teachers in the colleges.

Provincial Education Minister Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, Secretary of Higher Education Hashim Khan Ghilzai, the law secretary, principals of all cadet colleges of Balochistan and other officials attended the meeting.
