OKARA: Three men were booked for allegedly kidnapping two sisters at gunpoint two weeks ago from Mushtaq Town in the suburbs of the city.

A first information report registered on the complaint of the girls’ father, Shaukat Ali of village 42/D Kalan, Dipalpur, stated that his daughters, Farida, 20 and Aqsa Shaukat, 12, were visiting their maternal family in Mushtaq Town.

On the day of the incident, when the sisters along with their aunt, Kausar Bibi, went out of the house in the street, they were intercepted by Faisal Nadeem and Allah Yar Dogar of village 56/SP Pakpattan along with another unidentified man. The men bundled the girls into a car and managed to escape.

Shaukat Ali along with members of a local village council (panchayat) contacted the suspected kidnappers to return his daughter, but in vain.

On Saturday, Sadar police station registered a case against the three suspected abductors under Section 365-B of the PPC.
